About Management Guidelines

The management guidelines are practical and comprehensive summaries of recommendations made in the IHMF® Management Strategies series of publications.

The Management Strategies in Herpes series of publications and the management guidelines they contain are primarily for healthcare professionals. Each was developed from an IHMF® workshop and ratified at the following Annual Meeting of the IHMF®. They represent the consolidated views of the experts who attended both the Workshop and the Annual Meeting.

These publications reflect clinical practice at the time of publication and are not full reviews of the disease area.

The dates given in brackets in the titles are those of the IHMF® Annual Meeting at which the individual guidelines were ratified.

These summaries are designed to provide an overview of key issues, and more detailed information can be found in the monographs.
