Association Herpès was set up in 1998, and since then 15000 patients and healthcare professionals have searched for the services of this association.

The Association Herpes aims to provide herpes information and advice to patients and healthcare professionals.

Aims and Objectives/Activities

• Inform health professionals on the latest scientific discoveries (physicians and pharmacists newsletters)

• Increase awareness among health authorities about social consequences of this disease

• Contribute to the development and distribution of epidemiological studies, perform enquiries among patients, doctors and the general public

• Communicate via patient leaflets (practical information, guidelines), telephone services (N° 0825 800 808), website www.herpes.asso.fr

• Herpes Association has set up the first national day against herpes (22 November 2001).
